We’re the crew that shows up in Princeton, Naranja, and Leisure City with measured surveys already in hand and license numbers visible on our shirts. Every person on this page has passed a background check, worn the uniform, and signed off on a photo record. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. I started Sightline in 2012 after watching too many homeowners in South Dade get a verbal “ballpark” that somehow doubled once the old frame came out. I don’t do ballparks. I do measured surveys with a written price attached, and I keep a copy. In Princeton, I still ride out to jobs when the opening is irregular, the customer wants to see glazing specs in person, or someone mentions they got a quote that doesn’t list a U-factor. I carry a sample board of PGT and CGI profiles in my truck, and I’ll sit on your porch and explain why SHGC matters for a west-facing wall in Miami-Dade County until you tell me to stop. I find vague estimates as useful as a shim cut too thin.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us eight years and handles the jobs where the existing frame is rotted through or the stucco needs surgical cutting. He’s certified in impact-rated installation by PGT and CGI, and he’s the one we send when a customer in Princeton asks for a custom geometric window over a staircase. His specialty is preserving exterior finishes, which matters in older Florida homes where the original stucco can’t be matched off-the-shelf. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles and applies the same patience to a 1974 Honda that he does to a finless opening that needs to stay watertight through hurricane season.
Elena V., Senior Installer
Elena came to us from commercial glazing and brought a tolerance for level that borders on obsessive. She runs our energy-efficient window line, specifying ECO Window Systems and ES Windows units by performance tier rather than by what we have in the warehouse. In Princeton’s newer construction, she’ll cite the exact U-factor and air infiltration rate before she unloads a single pane. She keeps a notebook of every job site’s quirks, from a Naranja ranch with non-standard jamb depths to a Leisure City stilt home where the wind load requirement jumps at the third floor. She speaks Spanish with customers who prefer it, and she does not small talk during measurements. She small talks after, over coffee, when the numbers are already written down.
Darnell K., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phones and schedules the crews, which means he’s the live voice you get when you call (786) 977-2953 at 10 PM because a branch went through your slider. He’s been with Sightline since 2019 and knows which technician has the Therma-Tru hinge kit in their van and which one is thirty minutes out from Princeton on a given Tuesday. He also handles the photo records, matching every after-image to its work order before the customer sees it. He grew up in South Dade, knows the difference between Princeton and Princeton-by-the-Sea without checking a map, and will ask you to measure your rough opening with a tape measure while you’re on the call so he can flag sizing issues before anyone drives out.
Javi R., Apprentice Installer
Javi joined us in 2023 after two years in general carpentry. He’s working toward his CGI impact-installation certification and currently shadows Elena on energy-efficient retrofits and Marcus on full-frame replacements. His current specialty is flashing detail, the waterproofing layer that most homeowners never see and most problems start with. In Princeton’s flat-roof additions, where water finds every gap, he’s meticulous about sealing sequences. He asks more questions than he answers, which is exactly what you want from someone cutting into your wall. He lives in Naranja, five minutes from our first job most mornings, and he shows up early enough that Darnell has started scheduling him as the buffer against traffic delays.
